The Grange Senior School, despite only being founded in 1978, has established itself very quickly as a leading player in secondary education both regionally and nationally.
Places are increasingly in demand because of superb academic results (which have seen The Grange in the very highest reaches of national performance tables in recent years) and the school's fast growing reputation as a really friendly, vibrant school offering a genuinely all-round education.
Much more information can be found on the site about life in the first five years, leading to GCSE exams, and in the Sixth Form. You may use the menu on the left hand side of this page to explore many aspects of the life of the school. Information on how to apply for places at the Senior School or bursary and scholarship information is also easily available.
We can be contacted on 01606 74007 or at office@grange.org.uk
Applications to start in Form I at the Senior School in the September following a child's eleventh birthday should be made directly to the Admissions Officer at the Senior School. Application Forms are sent out with the prospectus and should be posted to the school, but you can also download, complete and post an application to the school by following this link.
Arrangements will then be made with you regarding the Entrance Assessment which usually takes place on the first Saturday in February - please use this link to see an example of an English Writing Entrance Assessment paper. To secure a place on that morning a non-refundable fee of £40 will be required. Following the Entrance Exam, places will usually be offered within fourteen days, and acceptance will be required no earlier than the acceptance date nationally agreed by independent schools.
The closing date for 11+ entrance assessment applications is Friday 20th January.
