The GSPA exists to organise events for the social benefit of the children, their parents and the wider school community, and for the financial benefit of the children and the school. We are one association covering both the Junior and Senior Schools.
Whilst our fundraising is highly valued by the school, a big part of the GSPA is the social interaction for the parents. Membership of the GSPA is automatic for all Grange School parents and we would welcome your involvement and support.
Currently we run one main event each term: the Christmas Fair at the Senior School on the first Saturday in December; the black tie Spring Ball in April/ May, and the Summer Fete at the Junior School in June. To find out more about past events and fundraising projects see the section below.
The GSPA makes annual donations to the school in the region of £10,000, with funding offered to the Junior and Senior Schools in alternate years. Profits over and above this figure are put towards a major project or projects after consultation with both Headmasters. Follow the Fundraising link to find out how your donations have been used.
By attending the GSPA's fundraising events, you will play a crucial role in helping to provide our children with the all-important ‘added extras' - and you'll have a good time too! We are always keen to welcome new members, either to join the committee or just to help in the running of a specific event (or events). Any time and effort that you can offer is gratefully received and, if you are like all our other members, you will have fun and make new friends in the process.
There are no membership fees and we meet on the second Wednesday of each term at the Senior School. We always welcome new people and look forward to seeing you soon.
GSPA Chairman
The GSPA makes donations to the school in the region of £10,000 p.a. with funding offered to the Junior and Senior Schools in alternate years. Funds raised in the 2009/10 academic year will go to the Senior School.
The profits raised by the GSPA have been used by the Senior School to purchase high tech rowing machines, music equipment for the theatre and to host a series of PSD talks. In addition they have helped fund the recent eco garden project and provided bedding plants for the memorial garden.
The Junior School has used the funds to develop a woodland walk, and to purchase playground equipment and rowing machines.
Annually the GSPA provides the sponsorship of school prizes and makes considerable donations to the school's charities.
