Grange Excel on National ISA Gymnastics Debut

Schools from across England came to compete in the ISA Gymnastics Finals held in Stoke last Saturday; an event which also saw the Grange’s bow in the competition.

Two teams of Junior School pupils rose to the occasion and overcame their debutant nerves with each competitor completing and being judged on a set vault and floor routine.

A team consisting of Olivia Pennington, Scarlet Peck, Rebecca Stanton, Maddie Knutton and Saffron Holroyd, competing in the novice elementary section, produced a performance full of promise and poise on the way to achieving a team gold medal. Meanwhile, Ella and Thea Smith, Emily Collier, Jessica Laundy and Lucy Holden, produced a similarly impressive showing to achieve a silver medal in the intermediate novice section.

“It was a really exciting opportunity to represent the school with my friends doing something we love and are getting better at!” said Prep 5 pupil, Scarlet Peck.

All the girls represented the school impeccably and competed with the consideration and good humour that we have come to expect from our pupils.  Well done to all those involved!
