In the first round of the competition, classmates from within the school go head to head against one and other to determine who is the fastest. At The Grange this took place in PE lessons and lunchtime with every pupil in Years I - V having the opportunity to show what they can do. Rollapaluza proved to be an exciting event in which the frenetic efforts of the contestants are accompanied by the cheering of classmates and high octane music.
The fastest riders from each year group in each school went forward to the final, which was held at St Nicholas High School, to find out who would become area champions. Pupils from The Grange took on pupils from St Nicholas School, Hartford School, and Cloughwood. The following Grange pupils all became regional champions in their respective age groups: Max Hills (Year I), Elliot Ashwell (Year III), Bryony Burrows (Year IV) and Matthew Strickland-Baker (Year V).
