A Year in Industry

Upper Sixth student Sam Martell has secured a role with Procter and Gamble for her Year in Industry.

Paid placements in large blue chip companies provide an excellent insight into the working world before attending university.  All evidence points to students who are more self-motivated at university and more likely to find employment at the end of their studies (often with the company they completed the Year in Industry with).

The Year in Industry team at the Engineering Development Trust always comment on the high calibre of students from The Grange and are especially positive about our students soft skills which can and do make all the difference when they attend interviews.

Sam’s success follows that of Toby Reid who has this year been working for Babcock Engineering in Plymouth.
