New Head joins The Grange School at an exciting time in its history

Following another summer of extremely successful public exam results at The Grange School, new Head teacher, Mrs Debbie Leonard, takes over the school as it leads up to its 40th anniversary of having a senior school in 2018.

Mrs Leonard joins the school after a successful six year stint as Head of Croydon High School, an independent day school for girls aged 3-18 where her strong philosophy of personalised learning was highly effective in giving each and every pupil the best possible opportunity to succeed. She also shares The Grange’s existing strong commitment to the wellbeing of those within its community believing that happiness and success go hand in hand.

Mrs Leonard joins The Grange following a period of success and development under the stewardship of Mr Chris Jeffery culminating in this summer’s public exam results. With 94.4% of GCSEs at A*-B, and 88% A*-B at A-level, this set of grades continues the established trend of excellent results at the school.

“I am delighted to be taking on the Headship at The Grange School,” said Mrs Leonard. “The School is consistently delivering excellent examination results and this is something we will continue to strive to do. However, for me what is equally important is the provision of a rich and varied programme of enrichment activities. At The Grange School there is something for everyone! Aside from the obvious educational opportunities for the pupils, I am excited by the challenge set for me by the Governors of developing a vision for the future which encompasses a significant amount of physical and financial development.”
