In order to compete for the school all pupils must; Be members of The British Rowing Association.For more details vist www.britishrowing.org.uk and follow the membership links Wear The Grange School Rowing Kit when representing the school.
Be fully paid up members of the club. Have a sense of humour and be willing to push themselves both physically and mentally!
<h6>Core Training Times</h6>
J14s - Saturday morning 8:00am-11:30pm and Wednesday evening 4-6:15 BST (river) and 4-5:30 GMT (Sports Hall)
J15s - Saturday morning 8:00am until 12:00pm and Thursday evening 4-6:15 BST (river) and 4-5:30 GMT (Sports Hall)
J16s - Saturday morning 8:00am until 12:00pm and Tuesday evening 4-6:15 BST (river) and 4-5:30 GMT (Sports Hall)
6th Form - Saturday morning 8:00am until 12:00pm and any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, same times as above.
In addition all active rowers are expected to train for one half hour lunchtime slot on the rowing machines. Sixteen machines are available in two half hour slots per lunchtime, that is 160 available sessions, so no excuses!
We also have an early morning ergo club on a Thursday morning, 8-8:30 for those early birds. J15's and above can use the machines at this time any morning before school so long as you go in pairs, you must not touch any of the weight lifting equipment!
There will be a member of the coaching team at the boathouse from 7:50am to 12:30pm on Saturday mornings.
