Our Careers provision is based firmly around the importance of making wise choices. These might be choices about whether to commit early to a particular and realistic career path or to follow academic passions and strengths to see where they lead; deciding what subjects to chose for GCSE or A level; pinpointing the most appropriate degree course or the best university to pursue it, or considering the advantages of – and possibilities for – taking a Gap Year.

This process is supported throughout by our own internal expertise, expert help from beyond the school and a growing range of tests and evaluations that can guide wise decision-making.

The School hosts a biennial Careers Conference which always promises to be an extremely useful night providing our pupils with the ideal opportunity to investigate a wide range of careers.  The conference is strongly attended by varying different career representatives and Higher Educational institutions, with representatives from Oxford and Cambridge University as well as reputable Medical Schools who present during the evening.

The evening is a compulsory event for all students in Years 10, 11 and 12. Year 13 students are also welcome if they feel that they would benefit from attending.
