  • The Grange School operates a 'fees in advance' scheme. For further information please email [email protected]

Update: Following the recent general election, and the appointment of a Labour government, parents are advised that the existing 'fees in advance' scheme may be impacted by new tax and VAT legislation that may include “anti-forestalling” rules which would see the current tax rules change between the date the legislation is announced, i.e. soon after the election, and the date it’s enacted.

We believe in offering all children, who are ambitious and motivated, an education like no other. To help hard-working families and their children enjoy a Grange experience, we offer a number of bursaries and scholarships.

The Senior School awards a number of bursaries (reduced fees) for the start of each academic year for pupils applying for admission into Year 7 and Year 12. The bursaries, which are aimed specifically at the Most Able and Talented children are intended to make a Grange education more accessible and may cover up to 100% of school fees. All bursaries are means-tested and are based on parental income and assets and are awarded at the Head's discretion. A strong academic performance in the Year 7 Entrance Assessment is essential as are sound GCSE results for students entering Year 12.

Academic Scholarship:

Each year, the Head awards Senior School Scholarships following the Entrance Assessment. These are dependent upon outstanding results being achieved in all components taken. The number offered and their value will be decided following the marking of the assessment papers. It is assumed that all candidates are competing for the Open Scholarships therefore, no special forms need be completed.

Senior School Music Scholarship:

Auditions take place each year in January for pupils entering Year 7 the following September. Please note that the minimum requirement is Grade 4 standard in either two instruments or one instrument and voice with a recognised Examining Board. The scholarship is worth a reduction in school fees of up to 20% as well as free tuition in one instrument or voice at school by a member of our peripatetic team.
