Location & Transport
The Grange School is located in the Heart of Cheshire.
IN CONTRAST WITH CITY CENTRE schools our campus, on the very edge of Northwich in Hartford village, is semi-rural, affording a spacious leafy green campus in a calm setting whilst still being served with excellent transport links including mainline train stations, a comprehensive bus service and proximity to major roadways.

Our Transport Service
THE SCHOOL OFFERS A SAFE, reliable and efficient travel service to a number of locations across Cheshire including, Altrincham, Chester, Crewe, Frodsham, Kelsall/Tarporley, Knutsford, Nantwich and Wychwood Park. The service which is available and appropriate for the use of all our young people, aged 4-18, is provided by local, well-respected travel companies.
Drivers are DBS approved and where possible remain the dedicated driver on a particular route. Journey costs vary depending upon the location. Travel times are continually reviewed to keep them as short as possible and, without the congestion city-centres suffer from, it can be quicker getting here than somewhere closer to home, in some cases.
This is a private bus service for the use of The Grange School only and members of the public cannot, and do not, use the service.
Transport Booking & Passenger App |
---|
The Grange Transport How To Guide The Grange Transport Passenger App Handbook Parents wishing to use our transport system on a regular basis (rather than an ad-hoc booking) can make their regular booking online. |
Contactless bus fobs |
Every pupil regularly travelling on a school coach will be issued with a contactless fob. Swiping the fob on a device held by the driver will quickly register their entry to and exit from the coach. This works on a live feed and enables parents to track the route of their particular coach via the Vectare site on their mobile phone. Should a coach be running late, a notification will be sent to parents advising them of the delay. |
Travelling by Train
THERE ARE TWO TRAIN STATIONS only a 10-minute walk away from the school. Greenbank Station sits on the Chester to Manchester line; stops include Altrincham, Hale, Knutsford, Delamere and Cuddington. Hartford Station is on the Liverpool to Birmingham line and stops include Acton Bridge, Runcorn, Winsford and Crewe.
