Academic
The purpose of the education we offer at The Grange Junior School is to prepare our children not only for the next stage of their education, but for life itself.
BY PROVIDING AN EXCELLENT SPRINGBOARD, we ensure that at the end of Year 6 they transition confidently from junior to senior school, with the skills and aptitude to adapt and thrive. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to nurturing curious, confident, and resilient individuals who are well-equipped to embrace the challenges and opportunities of the future.
Young people learn from everything that they experience in school: from their studies, their involvement in activities outside the classroom, their interests and hobbies, their relationships with their peers and their teachers, their successes and (often more helpfully) their mistakes.
CaringOUR FIRST PRIORITY IS PROVIDING a caring and positive atmosphere in which our children thrive and learn. Our staff welcome and understand each and every child as an individual, giving them – and their parents – the attention that they deserve is vital to creating this environment. This allows us to help them successfully navigate their way through the inevitable difficulties of growing up and life in general as well as recognising and celebrating their own and others’ achievements. Happy children learn.

Learning
IN THIS CONDUCIVE ATMOSPHERE FOR learning, we offer a programme that is designed to be both broad and flexible, enabling all children, from Reception through to Year 6, to benefit from a full, balanced education. It allows them to develop particular academic interests and passions as well as ensuring that they attain at the highest level of which they are capable. With a focus on staff development, excellent class sizes, a teaching staff: child ratio of 1: 12 and modern, well-equipped teaching facilities, it is no surprise that our children consistently attain beyond expectation and make exceptional progress.
Enriching
THE THIRD ELEMENT OF OUR curriculum is all about enriching every child's experience in our community, helping them grow into confident, well-rounded individuals.
