Life at the Grange School

Imagine a school environment that challenges you to excel in academics, extracurricular activities, and fosters positive relationships with peers and staff.

THIS IS LIFE AT THE GRANGE SCHOOL. You’ll be challenged to work hard and think independently, but you won't be left to do it alone. We equip you for success by providing opportunities and support: guiding, encouraging, mentoring and monitoring along the way.

The Grange School is a co-educational, academically selective independent school for students aged 4 to 18 years in the heart of Cheshire. Our semi-rural setting in the village of Hartford, just outside Northwich, provides a welcoming and calm backdrop for school life: a place to build a future together. Our school is based on two main sites about half a mile apart.

Junior School

Our Junior School is a warm and welcoming modern building with bright and spacious classrooms adorned with the children’s work. It provides excellent facilities - such as a bepoke science laboratory, a design and technology suite, a well-equipped music room, large indoor sports hall and a dedicated art room, all of which enhances the learning experience, giving students a richer, more rounded education.

Senior School & Sixth Form Centre

The Senior School has a distinct campus feel, with departments across a number of modern blocks interspersed with gardens and grassy areas. We have created environments with the equipment and technology to deliver the most up-to-date teaching for every subject: modern spacious science laboratories, language labs, a design and technology workshop, graphic and 3-D design studios to name a few.

Our Sixth Form Centre is on the same site but is housed in a separate purpose-built facility with a large common room and café, plus classrooms, meeting rooms, Careers Centre and even outdoor table tennis courts.
