Students, families and staff at The Grange School are celebrating an exceptional set of GCSE results, with achievements that once again place the school among the very best in the country.

For the third consecutive year, The Grange has been recognised as being in the top 1% of schools nationally for value added, demonstrating the school's outstanding ability to help students achieve above and beyond expectations, regardless of their starting points.

This year's results were exceptional by every measure. An impressive 22% of all grades were awarded at Grade 9, while 65% of all results were Grade 7 or above. In addition, more than a quarter of all students achieved Grade 7 or higher in every GCSE subject they studied, underlining the depth of academic excellence across the year group.

While the figures are a source of immense pride, Head of School Dr Lorraine Earps emphasised that the results reflect much more than academic achievement alone.

"Results Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate everything our students have achieved," said Dr Earps.

"These grades reflect their ambition, but they are also a testament to the care, expertise and dedication of our teaching and pastoral teams."

"At The Grange, academic excellence is never just about achieving top grades. It is about helping every young person develop the confidence, intellectual curiosity and independence they need to thrive. Our students leave us not only with exceptional qualifications but with the skills, character and resilience needed for future success."

"For many students, remaining at The Grange Sixth Form provides continuity at an important stage of their education, allowing them to focus confidently on the increased academic challenge of A Levels within a familiar and supportive environment."

The day's celebrations were brought to life through the success stories of individual students whose achievements reflect both academic excellence and personal determination.

Laura Addiscott, who joined The Grange in Reception, achieved the remarkable feat of securing all Grade 9s at GCSE. Laura will continue her studies at The Grange Sixth Form, taking English Literature, Biology and Chemistry.

A talented musician and recipient of a Music Scholarship in Year 7, Laura has now been awarded an All-Rounder Sixth Form Scholarship in recognition of her academic achievements, musical talent and significant contribution to school life. Reflecting on her time at The Grange, Laura highlighted the support of her teachers, the quality of the school's productions and the strong sense of community that has shaped her experience.

Eleyna Shah who also joined The Grange School at Reception celebrated an outstanding set of results, achieving all Grade 8s and 9s. Particularly proud of her Grade 9 in Chemistry, Eleyna hopes to pursue a degree in a STEM-related field in the future.

Looking back on her time at The Grange, Eleyna fondly recalled the support of her friends during exam preparation and praised the many opportunities available through the school's Enrichment Programme. She will return to The Grange Sixth Form in September to continue her academic journey.

Jacob Hughes was thrilled to achieve an exceptional collection of Grade 9 results. He will go on to study Biology, Geography, Chemistry and Economics at The Grange Sixth Form.

Jacob admitted feeling anxious before opening his results but said those feelings quickly turned to relief and excitement. Particularly pleased with his achievement in 3D Design, he credited the school's small class sizes and the personalised attention he received throughout his education as key factors in his success.

Concluding the celebrations, Dr Earps said:

"Today belongs to our remarkable young people. Their achievements are the result of years of hard work, perseverance and commitment, supported every step of the way by their families and our dedicated staff.

"We are incredibly proud of all that they have accomplished and look forward to seeing them continue to flourish in the next stage of their educational journey. My warmest congratulations go to every student receiving their results today."
